Who We've Helped
The Ronald McDonald House in Madison serves families from throughout the midwest, across the country, and even across the oceans.
Our families from May 1993 through December 2007:
- We've hosted 6,177 families at the House from 46 States and 14 countries.
- There have been 16,225 family visits (many of our families return to the House for follow-up treatments and care).
- The average stay is four nights.
- Family visits range from one night to nearly one full year.
By the Numbers
- It costs about $88 to house a family for one night. We ask families to contribute $10 per night. If they are not able to afford the $10, the fee is completely waved.
- In 2007, we welcomed 692 families who spent a total of 4,829 nights at the House.
- In the past four years, our volunteers made and delivered 14,613 sack lunches for families whose children were at UW Children's Hospital.
