COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Protocol

COVID-19 Update: Enhanced Guidelines, Effective March 26, 2020

Effective March 26, 2020, enhanced guidelines have been implemented at RMHC-Madison. These guidelines are part of RMHC-Madison’s ongoing efforts to protect our guest families, volunteers, and staff and the community in which we serve as we navigate the COVID-19 situation.

The ENHANCED VISITOR GUIDELINES are as follows:

  • GUEST FAMILIES/VISITORS
    • NOT allowed at RMHC-Madison:
      • New families will NOT be accepted into the Ronald McDonald House or Ronald McDonald Family Room program beginning Wednesday, March 18 for no less than 21 days.
      • Current guest families will be moved to a partner hotel on Friday, March 27.
      • Families will NOT be able to utilize the House in a day-use capacity.
      • RMHC-Madison will NOT make new referrals to RMHC-Madison partner hotels.
    • SERVICES/PROGRAMS
      • Suspended: The Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family room are temporarily closed to guests at this time.
      • Suspended: Dinner program and Augie’s Lunches with Love program
      • Limited: RMHC-Madison will provide lunches (upon request) to guest families staying at the partner hotel.
    • VISITING GROUPS
      • Suspended: Volunteer groups (including dinner groups), group meetings, gatherings, and tours.
    • STAFF
      • Limited: Non-essential staff will work remotely. A core team will staff the House Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm.
    • VOLUNTEER SERVICES
      • Suspended: ALL volunteer activity is suspended until further notice at the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room.
    • VENDORS
      • Continuing: Deliveries and maintenance. They will be screened before entering the building.
