RMHC-Madison Golf Classic
We are excited to announce our return to Nakoma Golf Club on September 20, 2021 for the 32nd Annual Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison Golf Classic.
The 2020 Golf Classic was definitely different than our typical event, yet loyal committee members and supporters made this a memorable day. Despite the early October frost and pandemic challenges, we raised $75,000 to keep 1,400 families with sick children close to each other during a difficult year. That is no small feat! As one of our largest fundraisers, we are truly grateful for your unwavering commitment.
Keeping families in a safe, comfortable home-away-from-home is even more critical. We anticipate 2021 will continue to provide uncertainty for families who do not have the ability to isolate as chemo treatments, non-elective surgeries and urgent care must continue despite COVID-19. Yet, you can help.
I was recently reminded of the importance of our mission when a young father, frail from many sleepless nights aside his son’s hospital bed, finally came back to the House for a good night sleep and meal. His eyes filled with tears and his voice was shaky as he relayed how beautiful the House was and that he slept better than he had in weeks because of the comfortable beds. This is the reason we don’t give up.
There is no doubt the pandemic has created challenges for us all. Maintaining strong partnerships has always been our goal. Now it is more important than ever. We encourage those who can commit to the golf outing to do so early. Spread the word to other sponsors and friends who can help the cause, too!
As friends and supporters of RMHC-Madison, we understand that YOU don’t give up… you continue to give your best, so families have the respite they need to help their children through these difficult times. We are forever grateful and look forward to another successful year!
