Heartline Spotlight: Volunteers Mark & Darlene

This month, we shine our light on Mark & Darlene Cunneen who have volunteered at the House since 2016. Their Thursday afternoon shift is something they look forward to each week—groundskeeping work, emptying pull tab bins and ensuring our kitchen is fully-stocked and spotless are just a few of their many contributions. The pair has also been tremendous supporters of the Ronald McDonald House Golf Outing. We asked them, why do you support the RMHC-Madison? Here’s what they had to say:
Darlene: The smile on the faces of the little ones as they pick out a toy from the toy depot says it all. The families are so grateful to be able to stay at the House, as they are dealing with such challenging and difficult medical situations with their child. I am happy to do my small part to ensure that the families feel safe and comfortable so they can just concentrate on the well-being of their child.
Mark: The people are so nice and it’s a great environment. Ronald McDonald House has a great reputation, and I am proud to help represent it. I only do a little piece but it’s very rewarding.
