Placon Provides Packaging Solutions

September 26th, 2023 | Our Partners

Think of that cabinet in your house full of mismatched containers and lids that drives you crazy–we have one here, too! Volunteers and staff spend a significant amount of time identifying 35+ matches for meals each night but gone are the days of that thanks to Placon Corporation.

A donation of 3,000 containers (and their matching lids!) was made to the House in August with special delivery from members of Placon’s process engineering team. Cody Meyer, Process Engineering Manager, shared, “As a family-owned business for 57 years, Placon is proud to partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison. Providing plastic packaging solutions allows volunteers who graciously give their time to operate more efficiently and in turn, gives guest families with sick children one less thing to worry about.”

Since the donation was made, volunteers have been raving about the new containers and improved efficiencies for meal time. Michael Rosenblum, House Director, echoed those sentiments, “The availability of individually portioned meals for our families to enjoy as their schedules allow is a key piece of the support we provide here. As important as this is to our families, our volunteers are equally excited to not have to scramble to find lids and bottoms that match – a struggle we can all relate to from our own kitchens! A huge thank you to Placon for partnering with us to better serve our families during their time of need.”

Upon sharing this news to our social media accounts—volunteers took to the comments section to express their immense gratitude for this generous donation.

What an incredible partnership all-around! Thank you, Placon Corporation!
